When you submit an application, we collect the key details we use to check your eligibility for a funded place in the Exchange. When you join the investor exchange, we collect the contact details you provide so we can send relevant updates.
We use founder application details to assess eligibility, prepare a venture profile where appropriate, and support introductions within the exchange. We use investor contact details to communicate about new venture releases, exchange activity, and relevant opportunities.
We do not use founder applications or investor sign-ups to make automated decisions. Information is reviewed by the Climate Venture Exchange team for the purposes described above, and we only share venture information with investors where this is appropriate to the exchange and consistent with the information provided.
We may share information with delivery partners supporting Climate Venture Exchange, including James Hutton Limited and The Research Adventure programme, and with service providers that help us operate the website, forms, and communications. We do not sell personal information.
Founder applications and investor contact details are retained only for as long as needed to run the exchange, maintain a relevant record of participation, and meet legal or operational requirements. We apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards to protect the information we hold.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. You can also withdraw consent where we rely on it.
